The apartment was clean, warm, and the bed was really comfortable. the common area, including the kitchen and dining/living room, was spacious. the location was great, with the tram station nearby and various shops and a park within walking distance. the wifi was reliable, and the 24/7 reception was convenient. it was good value for the money we paid. Cons: Not obvious to find 🧭.

To date, it is the worst place I have ever stayed in abroad in any country I have visited.

I got great value for my money at Central City Hostel in Oslo. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. The location was convenient, with easy access to the metro station and within walking distance of major attractions. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made my stay enjoyable.

The breakfast experience could be improved with more variety and options.

Hotel with good localization close to Munch Museum and city center. Room and toilet was clean.

Incompetent reception service, they didn't speak Norwegian even couldn't manage to give us right room key and for question why Wi -Fi is not available they answer "Only for hotel guests" :)) Afterwards we didn't feel like hotels guests.

The Staff were friendly but not much else.

The price of the room was extremely expensive for the room provided. The room was very small, it was a set of bunk beds with only enough room to walk around 2 sides and that is all. The booking website did not make it clear that the room was a part of a shared apartment which was also tiny (one small room containing table and chairs and a non-usable tiny kitchenette). The so called apartment did not supply any basic facilities. There was no cutlery, plates or any kitchen utensils nor was there a kettle or toaster. There was nothing for basic hygiene such as a cloth to clean up spills, there was no bathmat or handtowel or soap for a bathroom shared by three rooms, this is plain unhygienic! No linen was supplied and this cost extra, as did everything else, cutlery, or anything else you needed was at a charge. Our room was also outside of the hotel we had to exit a fire door and go out on to the neighbouring street to get into the room. Also security was very poor, we had a key card for the front door which the other two groups also had but no way to lock our room door, there was no safe or locker facilities at the hotel. Upon asking about this we were given a key for our room door, however this looked like a common key that opened many doors and likely one that others had a copy of. This is the worst value for money place I have ever stayed in.

The price at this hostel was very reasonable compared to other options in the area. The location was convenient, only a few minutes' walk from the metro station and near a vibrant square with bars and restaurants. One of the best aspects was the breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise on our last day and included drinks. The room itself was modern, clean, and comfortable, providing a cozy place to rest after a day of exploring.

One of the main drawbacks was the poor customer service we encountered. We had requested a late check-in due to our flight arrival, but the receptionist was rude and inconsistent with the payment information.

Location and cleanliness. Got microwave and water heater in the room.

Small room. There was an unexpected additional linen cost that must be paid at spot. It would be better to have included in the total cost on the Booked.net site so people can have the full information before making the selection.

Not a lot. I would recommend not to use it.

Staff prefers to make you wait at the reception while they telephone with their family. They immediately asked for my passport and then could not find the reservation. Not mentioned on the site, but you can straightaway pull your wallet to pay for the, not included, bedlinnen. As they already charge a stiff price per night I was very upset about this. Even though I had prepaid they told me for 10 minutes that I still had to pay an additional 900 crownes, Only by showing that the amount was actually prepaid by accessing my bank account online they accepted.

Central City turned out to be a great choice for my stay in Oslo. The value for money was impressive, with a clean room, comfortable bed, and two windows that let in plenty of natural light. Its location near the metro station made it super convenient for exploring the city, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Special shoutout to the multilingual lady at the reception who provided excellent service and helpful transportation advice.

The breakfast could use some improvement, particularly in terms of variety and options available.

If we had been a group of 6 young friends (with no couple) we may have enjoyed the freedom of the apartment opening on the street, and had we stayed for a week we would have enjoyed having a fridge and washing machine at disposal. But we were neither of these.

Having to pay extra for bed sheets and towels was a bad surprise we were not clearly informed about. You don't expect to have to make your own bed in a proper hotel nor to have to bring your own stuff. You would also imagine to have a solid room isolation in such a cold country but the windows let all the wind from outside enter our bed room. I disliked having bunk beds (we were a couple and had informed them so, and things were advertised as a twin room but bunk beds is different). There was no equipment at all in the room and the only shelters were in the main room shared with other people (who were noisy in the night btw).

Do not choose Hostel side, but definitely take Hotel side. It is a disaster to be in Hostel, but it is much better to be in Hotel.

The value for money at Central City was unbeatable, with a spacious twin room turned apartment at a decent price. The location was great, close to the city center, and the staff were really helpful throughout our stay.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with a wider variety of options.
